Course description

The Bachelor of Innovation and Enterprise provides professional education in a range of areas including leadership, entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.

Course structure

Areas of study

Students must complete a major specialisation from the faculties of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts, or Faculty of Information Technology.

Other studies include a second major specialisation or two sub-majors from the list of study areas detailed below.

The course also includes an innovation and enterprise project to be undertaken in the third year of study.

Elective units must be taken from those offered at the Berwick campus.

Course requirements

The degree requirements are:

(a) Students must complete a major specialisation of at least eight units (48 points) from an approved discipline with at least two units (12 points) at each of second and third-year level.

(b) Completion of either: (i) a second major specialisation of at least eight units (48 points) from an approved discipline with at least two units (12 points) at each of second and third-year level that forms an approved combination with the major specialisation selected in (a), OR (ii) two sub-majors (24 points each) from the approved list of sub-majors that forms an approved combination with the major specialisation selected in (a).

(c) Completion of an innovation and enterprise project (12 points).

(d) Completion of six elective units (36 points) offered on the Berwick campus by the Faculty of Business and Economics, Faculty of Arts or Faculty of Information Technology.

(e) A total of 24 units (144 points) over a maximum of 10 years of study.

(f) A maximum of 10 first-year-level units (60 points).

(g) A minimum of six units (36 points) at third-year level.
