Master of Practice Development*

Course description

The field of practice development is an expanding international framework which is being introduced within health and other practice settings as an avenue for creating and sustaining change in patient/client delivery and outcomes.

Entry requirements

Applicants to the course will be required to have an undergraduate degree, with a high level of achievement, in an appropriate practice-based discipline with a minimum of two years postgraduate experience.

Course structure

Students complete three core units in first year. In second year, they can choose to undertake a research project entailing a 24-point minor thesis or 24 points of coursework elective units.

Assessment

Assessment is based on a range of activities such as reflective journals, supervised practice, work-based learning, action learning groups, online forums, presentation of scholarly reports and publications, and development of research projects.
