Graduate diplomas

Any variations to the criteria listed below are listed in the individual course section.

Entry requirements

Candidates for admission require a pass degree in any discipline or an equivalent qualification and, usually, relevant employment experience or a credit average in an executive certificate or graduate certificate in the relevant discipline.

Duration

Graduate diplomas are normally completed in two semesters of full-time study or part-time equivalent. Faculty regulations regarding duration can be found at www.monash.edu.au/pubs/calendar/facultyregs/regs-bus03.html#Heading72.

Advanced standing

Candidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of four units (24 points) if previous study is considered to be equivalent to particular units in the course of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study undertaken in the last five years and must be approved by the course director.

Progression to further studies

Students who complete a graduate diploma with an average grade of credit or above may apply for admission into the relevant masters degree.
