Minor Translation Project ( 12 points, SCA Band 1, 0.250 EFTSL)

Synopsis: The project will be 9,000 words in length, consisting normally of an annotated translation of approximately 7,500 words with a critical introduction of at least 1,500 words. The text for translation should be selected before enrolment in consultation with the coordinator.

Objectives: On completion of the project, students will have developed considerably their translation skills, their understanding of issues involved in the translation process, and their awareness of relevant methodologies.

Prerequisites: Completion of or, with the permission of the course coordinator, concurrent enrolment in TRN4030

Corequisites: TRN4030 with the permission of the coordinator
