Synopsis: Examines the role of sociological theory and research in the formulation of public policy concerning a range of contemporary social issues, with particular reference to Australia.

Assessment: Seminar presentation (2000 words): 20% + Seminar presentation (2000 words): 20% + Research Paper (5000 words): 60%
