Synopsis: The unit introduces students to a range of approaches to the interpretation and performance of contemporary music. It examines how composers articulate their musical ideas and how performers can translate these ideas into coherent sonic forms. Different performance styles are explored on the basis of a range of musical scores, including those prepared by the School of Music - Conservatorium's composition students.
