Synopsis: A mathematical project chosen from a range of areas of mathematics and statistics, including astrophysics, dynamics, chaos, computing algorithm design, number theory, logic and meteorology.
Objectives: The objective of this unit is to allow students to undertake the equivalent of six points of first year studies in the form of independent reading.
Assessment: Project report: 80% + Progress reports: 20%
Prerequisites: enrolment in the Bachelor of Science (Science Scholar Program) or by permission of the head of School.
