Synopsis: The unit builds on the knowledge of basic concepts from the first year units (in particular VCM1002) by developing further understanding of the multimedia development process and the tools and techniques used to manage and control it as they apply to sound and video in multimedia content production.

Assessment: The assessment in this unit will consist of three major tasks which will include group and individual components. Assessment 1 Concept Outline for an Audio/Video Project, Process Diary and Research 30% Assessment 2 Detailed Project Documentation and Diary 30% Assessment 3 Major Audio/Video Project, Presentation and Diary 40%

Contact Hours: 12 hours per week for 13 weeks of which students will be expected to spend 4 hours each week in studio/lectures and 8 hours self-directed reading, preparation, and research.

Prerequisites: MMS1401 and VCM1002

Prohibitions: VSA3020
