Berwick Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: This unit focuses on ethical issues pertaining to the uses and practices of multimedia. It will engender an understanding of ethical theories, their relevance to electronic societies and their applications in individual and professional practices. It will develop an awareness of current ethical issues and debates as well as an understanding of the social implications of information and communication technologies.
Assessment: Written analysis: 20% Oral Presentation: 15% Tutorial Participation: 15% Group Debate (peer assessment): 20% Analytical Essay: 30%
Contact Hours: 12 hours per week for 13 weeks. Students will attend 1 hour of lectures and one 2 hour tutorial session per week.
