Synopsis: International trade policy and its economic rationale; GATT, IMF, WTO, NAFTA, the European Union, APEC and the Uruguay Round agreements; Japan-US trade relations and new issues in international trade policy.
Assessment: Three assignments (1000 words each): 40% + Examination (2 hours): 60%
