Synopsis: This unit builds on the analytical theories and frameworks studied earlier in the Bachelor of Commerce. It aims to provide students with knowledge and skills that will enable them to analyse a range of contemporary issues in management. It considers some major issues confronting managers in the contemporary context: for example, globalisation and workforce diversity; it examines competing theoretical frameworks used in management theory and business research and examines the implications for management practice of the selected issues.
Assessment: Written (essay 2000 words, report 3000 words): 25% and 45% + Examination (2 hours): 30%
