Clayton FY-32 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Through a range of activities students will develop an understanding of public health issues and of common problems in geriatric medicine, rehabilitation medicine, palliative care, forensic medicine, clinical pharmacology & therapeutics, and evidence-based medicine. It will include discussion of health problems for selected population groups, community support services, legal, cultural, religious and ethical issues in medicine, quality of health care, clinical decision-making and Cochrane reviews.
Assessment: Assessed as part of November OSCEs. An assessment in the public health component will be held during the program and will be pass grade only. The form of this assessment will be notified at the start of the year.
Corequisites: Must be enrolled in MBBS or MBBS/LLB
