Synopsis: The research seminar assesses whether the candidate has a thorough understanding of the research area, knowledge of the literature and the state-of-the-art, and secondly the contribution of the student to the research area. The aim is to assess the student's progress approximately six months prior to their thesis submission date.
Assessment: Candidates must submit a written report of up to 10 pages in length four weeks prior to the presentation of a 45-minute seminar detailing the key findings of their research program. These tasks are assessed according to the above criteria.
