Clayton First semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Transducers and sensors: theory modelling techniques. Actuation: servo, stepper, drives, pneumatics, etc. Development of design formulations. Microprocessors and embedded systems. System modelling and development: case studies, system design, analysis and programming. Autonomous systems. Applications. A self-directed learning component completes the unit.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 70% + Project and Laboratory work: 30%
Contact Hours: 22 lectures, 22 practice class/laboratory hours
