Clayton Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: The unit builds an intensive analysis of WTO rules and its dispute settlement processes within the context of participation in a WTO moot court competition run by the European Law Students Association. Students are given a fact situation, are required to prepare memorials for both the claimant and the respondent, engage in intensive moot practices and compete against other universities at a regional level and if successful in addition at international finals in Geneva.
Assessment: Marks will be allocated for the memorials (50%) and mooting performance (50%).
Contact Hours: Because it is a group based unit, total contact hours with the Lecturer will approximate 4 - 6 hours per week.
