Synopsis: This unit presents a theoretical approach for examining intercultural interaction from a variety of disciplinary perspectives. It deals with a variety of situations of contact between Japanese and Australians in tourism, education and other work areas.
Assessment: One Essay (2000 words): 45% + One essay (2500 words): 55% + Fifth year students are expected to use more sophisticated analysis and written presentation skills.
Contact Hours: 2 hours (1 x 2 hour seminar) per week
