Clayton First semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Skills and techniques for consecutive interpreting using authentic interviews and talks. Topics focus on industry, business, general contemporary affairs, education, Australia-Japan relations, medicine, tourism etc. Practice in both languages and relevant aspects of the theory of English-Japanese consecutive interpreting.
Assessment: Assignment: 20% + Mid-semester test: 15% + End-of-semester test: 55% + One paper written in B language (500 words): 10%
Contact Hours: 2 hours of workshop per week
