Directed reading unit 2 ( 6 points, SCA Band 2, 0.125 EFTSL)

Synopsis: This unit is conducted under the supervision of a suitably qualified academic. The student will be required to complete a prescribed list of readings, undertake further independent literature studies, or complete other learning activities and assessments considered appropriate. On completion of this unit, the student would have completed a comprehensive literature review on a topic closely related to the proposed research project.

Assessment: Students will have to select a research topic for their Minor Thesis after consultation with their supervisor and progress will be monitored by their supervisor through weekly meetings. A report (3000 - 5000 words) and a presentation will be required at the end of the semester.

Contact Hours: 2 hours per week

Prerequisites: ITW4002. A sound understanding of IT principles and IT related issues.
