Synopsis: Approved semester-length study equivalent to 12 points (Arts, Monash) at an Italian university, or at the Monash University Centre in Prato. Placement arrangements will be made through the Program, which has links with the universities of Florence, Bologna, Perugia and Siena.
Objectives: Upon completion of this unit students should have: 1. Successfully undertaken a program of study offered by a host institution in Italy equivalent to 12 points third-year level language and culture units at Monash University. 2. Achieved a good level of competency in the designated tasks. 3. Gained first-hand understanding of Italian culture in Italy. 4. Improved and consolidated Italian language skills in Italy. 5. Taken advantage of access to Italian library holdings, and the Italian-speaking academic environment to complement their language and/or culture programs.
Assessment: As determined by host institution.
Prerequisites: ITA2225, ITA2320, ITA2420 or equivalent language competence
