Synopsis: This unit is presented in a series of practical workshops and seminar discussions conducted in Indonesian and based on both traditional and modern Indonesian theatre. The unit leads to a bilingual performance in the final week based on a script derived from the workshop process. Aspects of language are highlighted through reading, translating, and interpreting of works written primarily by Indonesian playwrights, though with reference to other Southeast Asian and Australian playwrights.
Assessment: Performance (30 minutes): 30% + Production report (1500 words): 40% + Review (600 words): 15% + Publicity project (250 words and/or spoken equivalent): 15%
Contact Hours: 1 hour lecture, 1 hour tutorial and 2 hour practical per week
Prerequisites: INM3325 or equivalent
