Synopsis: Customer driven business processes - customer value elements. Process mapping and flow charting. Identification of critical processes, critical process variables and their relationship with output and customer requirements. Introduction to business costing. Organisational plans and goals. The planning process. The business plan. Business forecasting - methods and problem analysis. Impact of globalisation on business processes. Future business environment, changes and ramifications for Australian and overseas organisations, e-commerce - practical limitations and future trends and e-commerce case studies. Linear regression. Time series and forecasting.
Assessment: Examination (2 hours): 70% + Assignments: 30%
