Synopsis: Working in close collaboration with an experienced researcher, the student undertakes individual and team-based research assignments. Formal reporting and presentation of results in a research seminar is undertaken with oral defence of research findings, conclusions and recommendations. Attendance at seminars or lectures may be included to provide background. Students wishing to undertake this unit must seek approval from the unit leader.

Assessment: Final report: 70% + Continuous assessment: 15% + Prototype or practical assessment: 15%
