Caulfield Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Introduction to the practical environment in which the theory of information management and systems is applied and preparation for entry into the professional workplace. Literature and professional issues relating to participants' specialisations including the role of professional associations. Introduction to the world of work and career opportunities in the information market.
Assessment: Formal supervised assessment (50%) + Assignments (50%)
Contact Hours: 2 hours per week
Prerequisites: Only available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Information Systems. Two units from IMS3610, IMS3611, IMS3007 (for students undertaking the Electronic Recordkeeping and Archiving stream). Entry to this unit requires Head of School or nominee's approval.
Corequisites: IMS3616, IMS3617 (for students undertaking the Library Information Services stream)
