Synopsis: As for HSY2950

Objectives: As for HSY2950, with the additional objectives that students taking the subject at third year should have acquired a greater degree of analytical skill and a greater understanding of the key conceptual and methodological issues.

Assessment: Literature survey (500 words): 5% + Class test (50 minutes): 25% + Group presentation (approx.10 minutes per student): 30% + Research essay (2400 words): 40%

Contact Hours: 2.5 hours (1 lecture and 1.5 hour workshop) per week

Prerequisites: Second year history sequence or permission
