Gippsland Second semester 2005 (OCL)
Synopsis: This unit will further extend the use and application of object-oriented programming through the use of polymorphism, inheritance, aggregation and composition, exception handling and input/output. GUIs will be developed, using event driven processes. The various container classes provided in the java libraries will be examined and re-used. Some of these container classes will be used for developing complex multiple class object oriented programs.The concept of abstract data structures will be explored in terms of classes. Test harnesses will be developed for each program.
Assessment: Assignments - 40% and Examination (3 hours) - 60%
Contact Hours: 4 Hours per week
Prerequisites: GCO9805 or equivalent
