Synopsis: An applied research project (which may involve the solution of a practical problem found in the student's work place) including a literature survey identification of potential solutions to the problems stated in the project and implementation to test the solutions. The next major phase of the project is to implement and test the solutions to the identified problems. The culmination is the writing a thesis and a final presentation. Access to the university's computer systems through an Internet service provider is compulsory for off-campus students
Assessment: Final thesis of 7000 to 15,000 words: 60% + Other assessment modes: 40%
