Synopsis: Issues, debates and practices associated with adult learning and development in workplace, community and TAFE contexts. Implications of theories for designing learning activities for adults. The impact of social, political and economic context on adult education and training
Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit, participants should have examined and compared a range of current adult learning theories, examined these theories in the context of a range of settings where adult learning occurs, explored approaches to (re)designing learning experiences for adults and developed a critical understanding of current policy contexts shaping the provision of of adult and vocational education and training.
Assessment: Critical review (3500 words):45% + Assignment (4500 words): 55%
