Synopsis: This unit builds on the concepts introduced in EDF5494 M&PT Business Management A. The major focus of this unit will be to further develop strategies and pedagogy appropriate for teaching Business Management at the secondary level as well as developing enterprise skills

Objectives: Upon successful completion of this unit, students should be able to demonstrate sound knowledge of relevant discipline areas associated with the teaching and learning of Businesss management and Enterprise education in both local and global contexts; know and apply materials, teaching methods and programs associated with the teaching and learning of Business Management and Enterprise education; motivate and engage students in their learning of Business Management and Enterprise; set clear, challenging and achievable goals for students in their learning of Business Management and Enterprise; use a range of teaching styles, strategies and technologies appropriate to best practice teaching and learning of Business Management and Enterprise; use assessment tasks that are purposeful and relevant to the teaching and learning program and the learning needs of students; use a variety of assessment and reporting methods to regularly monitor learning.

Assessment: Unit of work (Approx 2000 words): 50%, Teaching Portfolio (Approx 1200 words): 30%, Class activities (Approx 800 words): 20% + Teaching practice also forms a major part of the assessment of EDF5494 M&PT Business Management A and EDF5495 M&PT Business Management B and students must complete at least 45 days teaching practice (50 for double degree students) and gain a rating of satisfactory for the teaching practice.
