Synopsis: Investigation of economic interaction between countries in the context of international exchanges of commodities and assets. Topics include the balance of payments, nominal and real exchange rate determination, international capital movements, foreign debt, structural reform and adjustment policies in the open economy, the gains from international trade, interindustry trade, tariff policies.

Assessment: Class test: 20% + Examination (2 hours): 80%

Contact Hours: Three contact hours per week

Prerequisites: ECC2000 and ECC2010 or equivalent
