Clayton First semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: The unit will begin with an examination of relevant legislation. Using both seminars and practical sessions, students will then learn how to conduct psychological assessments of children, adolescents and/or families in contested custody and access determinations, and in protective and criminal proceedings. Treatment issues will also be examined.
Assessment: 2 clinical reports (1500 words each, 50% each): one based on observation of a children's Court assessment and one based on observation of a family court assessment; log book documenting observation practical work (hurdle requirement).
