Synopsis: At the end of this unit, students should be able to: 1. Conduct a psychiatric interview with a client, incorporating a mental status examination. 2. Complete a thorough and accurate written evaluation of a client. 3. Be familiar with major classes of psychiatric illness.
Objectives: At the end of this unit, students should be able to: 1. Conduct a psychiatric interview with a client, incorporating a mental status examination. 2. Complete a thorough and accurate written evaluation of a client. 3. Be familiar with major classes of psychiatric illness.
Assessment: Weekly short test (25%) Three written mental status examinations, and three psychiatric histories (25%) Clinical Case Report (50%)
