Synopsis: The aim of this unit is to equip general practitioners with the knowledge and skills necessary to confidently deal with sexual and reproductive health problems in their patients. The content of the unit will cover: androgens; male infertility; erectile dysfunction; testicular tumours and prostate disease.

Objectives: On completion of this unit, students will; appreciate the major issues in male reproductive health today, understand the physiology of the male reproductive system, demonstrate confidence in dealing with issues of infertility, demonstrate confidence in dealing with erectile dysfunction, be familiar with recent advances in diagnosing and managing prostate disease, be familiar with recent advances in diagnosing and managing prostate disease, be familiar with diagnosing, managing and preventing testicular tumors and develop skills in conducting a clinica audit, and gain an understanding of the potential of audits to improve clinical practice.
