Synopsis: Serving static and dynamic web pages. ASP.NET. Server controls. C#. Event driven programming and postback. State handling. Using data sources: reading data from and writing data to data stores. Binding data. XML as a data store. Page life cycles and using server controls. Control families and data templates. Components and user controls. Code behind. .NET Assemblies. Custom Server Controls. XML Web services. Server controls for mobile devices.
Assessment: Assignments: 40%, Exam: 60%.
Contact Hours: 4 hours
Prerequisites: CPE1001, CPE1003, plus a further 6 points of second level Network Computing units.
