Clayton Second semester 2005 (OCL)
Synopsis: This unit will introduce students to the need to ensure infrastructure operates and is maintained in an appropriate management fashion. This unit will develop a theoretical background for infrastructure management. It will cover asset management principles (whole of life cycle issues, infrastructure policy, risk management and strategic development) and concepts and identification of asset performance requirements (community and stakeholder benefits and consultation, system performance and measures, level of service).
Assessment: Examination: 50% + Assignments: 50%. Students must pass both components.
Contact Hours: 150 hours study
