Clayton First semester 2005 (OCL)
Synopsis: The subject will provide a broad overview of parking policy and design. It focuses on parking policy. It introduces the types of policies, and their implementation and effectiveness. Parking policy should be seen within the context of urban policy and this model brings urban, transport and parking policy together. It introduces parking systems design. It develops a series of design principles and applies these to on and off-street design. Mechanical parking systems are discussed.
Assessment: Examination (Open book): 50% + Project: 50%. Students must pass both components.
