Clayton First semester 2005 (OCL)
Synopsis: This subject develops students' understanding of traffic flow theory, analysis of signalised and unsignalised intersections. The course is designed to provide a rigorous and practical coverage of the collection of traffic data. The traffic surveys component of the course will cover traditional techniques for counting, classification and origin-destination surveys. The subject will also consider the capabilities of new traffic data collection equipment.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 50% + Assignments: 50%. Students must pass both components.
