Clayton Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Introduction to risk management, causes of flooding and impacts of floods. Hydrologic and hydraulic methods applied in assessment of flood risks and in development of flood management strategies. Planning controls, structural flood mitigation methods and emergency measures to reduce flood impacts.
Assessment: Examination (3 hours): 50% + Assignments: 50% + Students must pass both components.
Contact Hours: 24 lectures, 24 practice classes
Prerequisites: CIV2262 or permission
