Synopsis: An introduction to the principles and practice of computer information systems for business applications. Topics include computer systems, overview of programming, computer languages, database management and use of microcomputer application software for business data processing.
Assessment: Assignments: 40% + Examination (2 hours): 60% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit
Contact Hours: One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour laboratory per week
Prerequisites: Entry to the Master of Business Systems or equivalent Masters program
