Synopsis: This unit enables students to acquire knowledge on techniques, methodology and tools of project management. Provides an understanding of how to apply knowledge, in different project settings, to maximize the satisfaction to all stakeholders in their projects. An overview of the processes of project management. Use of project management software commonly used in Industry. Topics covered include scope, time, cost, quality and communication management, human resource management and team formation, project evaluation techniques, factors affecting the success of projects, project communication and reporting, project planning, tracking, control and implementation and managing multiple projects.
Assessment: Assignmenst: 30% + Examination (2 hours): 70% + Students must pass the examination in order to pass the unit
Contact Hours: One 2-hour lecture and one 1-hour laboratory per week
Corequisites: BUS9530 or equivalent
