Synopsis: A grounding in the basic principles of taxation law. Topics include GST, residence, source, income, deductions, capital gains tax, fringe benefits tax imputation, taxation of entities and tax administration.

Assessment: Optional research assignment (2000 words): 20% + Examination (3 hours, open-book): 80% or 100%
