Clayton First semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: The law affecting Australian enterprises engaged in international business. Topics include international trade conventions; import and export procedures; carriage of goods by sea and air; bills of lading and the Hague-Visby rules; finance of international trade; payment and documentary credits; the use of negotiable instruments in international trade; international commercial arbitration and marine insurance.
Assessment: Assignment 1 (2,500 - 3,000 words): 30% + Examination (open- book, 3 hours): 70%
Contact Hours: 3 hours per week
Prerequisites: BTC1110 or BTC2110 or equivalent
