Synopsis: An introduction to the major techniques which underpin the practical aspects of compound identification: UV spectroscopy. IR spectroscopy. Mass spectroscopy. NMR spectroscopy.
Assessment: 40% Practical and Tests during semester; 60% Examination (3 hours).
Contact Hours: 36 hours of Lectures and 36 hours of Practical classes.
Corequisites: The other core compulsory subjects of the Bachelor of Medicinal Chemistry.
