Synopsis: Under supervision, students are expected to undertake and report on an original research project that addresses a contemporary and/or a significant issue in the field of accounting, banking and finance, insurance or risk management. The topic for research is developed by the student and approved by the supervisor. Prior approval of the course director is required before undertaking this unit.
Objectives: Upon completion of this unit, students should be able to: * conduct critical and analytical research at an advanced level; and * present their findings in writing in a manner that is logical and coherent.
Assessment: Research project (10,000 words): 100%
Contact Hours: 12 hours per week of private research and consultation with the appointed supervisor
Prerequisites: 48 credit points of graduate level units at an average of a credit
