Synopsis: Contemporary issues in, and the technologies of, computer systems; programming concepts and practices and the necessary steps in the design and implementation of major information projects; database theory, design and development in which students will develop, program and implement a practical database design; design and development of sophisticated financial models using the advance features of a modern spreadsheet package.
Assessment: Two assignments: 35% each + Mid-semester test (2 hours): 30%
Contact Hours: 3 hours per week
