Clayton Second semester 2005 (Day)
Synopsis: Introduction to the basic concepts of computer systems, information systems and business software that are relevant to accounting applications. Students will gain experience in basic computer programming using database and spreadsheet software.
Assessment: Written (two computer-based assignments): 40% + Examination (3 hours): 60%
Contact Hours: 2-hour lecture and 1-hour tutorial per week
Prerequisites: AFC1021 or AFC1022 and AFC1031 or AFC1032 or ETC1020 and ETC1031 or ETC1032, or any first-year mathematics unit
