Course description

This is a one-year full-time degree program of education in the discipline and practice of design or design research. It provides students with the opportunity to intensively study an area of specialisation of their own choice.

Entry requirements

Completion of the Bachelor of Design or the Bachelor of Visual Arts with a major study in design, pass degree at an average level of credit or higher. Depending upon the number of places available, students may also be required to submit a portfolio of studio work for selection into the course.

(a) Design studio projects (30 credit points)
(b) Either the preparation for higher degree strand (12 credit points):

(c) Elective (6 credit points)
(d) Occupational health and safety (0 credit points), if no previously passed or exempted
