This course has been designed for persons who are working, or intending to work, in any area of industrial relations, human resource management or the management of people. It focuses upon the workplace and institutional aspects of industrial and employee relations, and makes the necessary connections with the broader institutional legal and economic framework. The course aims to provide graduates with a strong theoretical and practical training in industrial and employer relations.

Candidates may be eligible for advanced standing for a maximum of six units considered to be equivalent to particular requirements in the course of study. Advanced standing is restricted to study completed in the last five years. The program coordinator assesses advanced standing.
Students must complete 12 units (72 credit points) from the following list:
Students must study a
minimum of six 5000-level units or equivalent.
Students should complete four 9000-level graduate units before commencing
5000-level units.
Units are available on a rotational basis over a two-year period.
