Course description

This course provides management and organisation-related topics for graduates who are ready to focus on developing their leadership skills and abilities. The course content focuses on an appreciation of the management role and the crucial contribution that managers make to organisational effectiveness. The course examines major theories and concepts concerning the behaviour and performance of individuals and groups in organisations. There is particular emphasis on the manager as change facilitator. Students are encouraged to recognise the importance of effective change management and to demonstrate an understanding of various change models and frameworks, their relevant foundations, strengths and weaknesses, and to apply these to real-life situations.

(a) Students must complete two core units (12 credit points):

(b) Students must complete two elective units (12 credit points) from 9000-level units taught by the Department of Management
Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Management may apply for the Graduate Diploma in Management or the Master of Management and would be eligible for advanced standing for four units.
