The graduate program in international development and environmental analysis (IDEA) is an abbreviated version of the masters by coursework degree. The graduate diploma course introduces students to international and comparative perspectives and approaches to development and global sustainability, but does not include the internship or research paper component.
A bachelors pass degree in any discipline.
Students complete 48 points, comprising 12 points of core units, and 36 points of elective units.
Students can choose electives (36 points) in one of five areas of concentration that correspond to current issues relevant in international development:
A wide range of elective
units are available in sociology, women's studies, politics, Asian studies,
geography and environmental science, Indigenous studies, anthropology, and
visual culture.
