About Monash University

Established in 1961 with an enrolment of just 363 students, Monash University has grown to become one of Australia's largest and most distinguished universities, with more than 55,000 students and staff across its six Australian and two overseas campuses.
Over the years, Monash has gained an international reputation for innovation and excellence and is known as a vibrant and energetic place of learning, enriched by a dynamic and diverse group of students of different ages and varying backgrounds.
Monash has 10 faculties: Art and Design; Arts; Business and Economics; Information Technology; Education; Engineering; Law; Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences; Pharmacy; and Science. This mix enables Monash to provide a comprehensive range of courses in a variety of disciplines, offering professional qualifications in a great number of areas.
